Making Memories: The Early Years

This one-day masterclass will focus on all the important family occasions based around baby and the early years.
This class was developed in a collaboration between four Qualatex instructors - Alberto Falcone, CBA, Federico Onida, CBA, Sue Bowler, CBA and Stuart Davies, CBA. It focuses on occasions such as gender reveal parties, baby showers, new born babies, 1st birthday parties, and of course, not forgetting christening, naming ceremonies and communions. This class is a combination of demonstration and hands on exercises, with designs including quick and sellable retail designs, small baby characters, organic number 1 on a structure and an air filled version of Gender Reveal design. Furthermore you will learn how to make 3 different versions of Hot Air Balloon designs, from simple Retail pieces to a more complicated decor structure. We will also share some great tips on how to increase your sales by using automated marketing and how to increase your customer base through the use of feedback.
Delegates will receive a link to recipe sheets and professional photos of all the designs that are taught on the day.
INSTRUCTOR: Stuart Davies, CBA
Over the last 5 years, Stuart has developed a successful business that mixes retail and large décor designs. In his relatively short career in the balloon industry, Stuart has gained international recognition thanks to his large-scale projects, such as the Walt Disney International Pride Events in London and Dublin and his Christmas Big Balloon Builds. He was also selected as guest designer of the Welcome Event at the World Balloon Convention in San Diego in 2018.
In 2018 he became the newest Qualatex Instructor in Europe, and in the last 12 months he has received great acclaim at numerous locations including WBC 2018, Saudi Qualatex Convention, Ireland, UK, Italy and most recently FLOAT 2019.
His style of instruction fuses a mix of streamlining balloon techniques, common sense marketing, with core business principles. He serves this in simple segments, which are easily adapted into any scenario for even the most business adverse delegate! His aim is to make a difference to balloon businesses by not teaching you how to build one design, but to save time and make more money in everything you do.
