This year, Ballongbuttiken, the Qualatex Distributor in Norway, are celebrating 30 years in business! To celebrate, we are pleased to invite you to an anniversary event at Hotel Atlantic in Sandefjord from 13th – 15th September 2019. Customers old and new are invited to a fantastic balloon party in Sandefjord - with 2 days of inspirational masterclasses by Fiona Fisher and Sue Bowler, and a Gala dinner too! The event will also be a retirement party for Ase and Petter Vabog, owners of Ballongbutikken – so please make plans to join us in celebrating their great work over the last 30 years!
PROGRAMME TIMETABLE
Final details/timings of the programme are still to be confirmed, but overall event timing is expected to be as follows:
- Friday 13 September - CBA exam 10:00 - 14:00
- Saturday 14 September - Masterclasses 10:00 - 17:00 - followed by Gala dinner
- Sunday 15 September- Masterclasses 10:00 - 17:00

- Halloween – large and small sculptures and other design ideas
- Air-filled deliveries

- Balloon Characters for all occasions
Please note the seminars will be pitched at intermediate/ advanced level and thus are not suitable or beginners.
About Fiona Fisher, CBA
Fiona Fisher is an award winning balloon artist who has been in the balloon business for more than sixteen years. Having gained worldwide notoriety for her amazing balloon sculptures and decor, Fiona now has bases in Ireland and Italy and travels the world creating a great variety of artwork in balloons. She has won many balloon awards for her creations over the years: Italian master champion, UK decorator of the year, European decorator of the year, to name just a few. Fiona has an experienced international team working together to create world class balloon sculptures and decor around the world.

About Sue Bowler, CBA
Sue first discovered her passion for balloons in 1990, and hasn't looked back since!
Starting with a small, home-based balloon delivery and decorating business, she quickly developed her skills and knowledge as a balloon artist. She took her career to a new level when she earned her Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) designation, and began attending industry events, such as the International Balloon Arts Convention (IBAC), and participating in various competitions.
Today, Sue works as a freelance industry educator for Pioneer Balloon Company, sharing her knowledge and design skills with balloon artists around the world. Sue also continues her passion as a freelance balloon artist and is happy to design and create decor for all events big or small!
Sue's variety of skills are extensive, her work ranges from large decor to elegant wedding and centrepieces to mini balloons sculptures. Many of her designs have become great profit makers for balloon businesses around the world. At the World Balloon Convention in Dallas 2010 , Sue received the first Golden Light Award in honor of Linda Bruce.
